Assignments

As a student in PortfoliOH, you’ll be assigned activities through your groups. These assignments are designed to help you demonstrate your work, reflect on your learning, and build valuable skills.

The assignments may include activities created by your school, or by community partners and businesses working with your school. Each assignment includes clear tasks—like Performance Tasks or Reflection Tasks—to guide your evidence submission.

  • Performance Tasks are unique, with specific instructions. You might see several tasks, each asking for something different, in one assignment.
  • Reflection Tasks use the same prompt each time and are great for ongoing experiences like internships or volunteer work.

Assignments can help you:

  • Demonstrate key skills like communication, problem solving, or teamwork
  • Reflect on meaningful experiences like internships, class projects, or service
  • Track your progress toward graduation, job readiness, or personal goals
  • Earn credit for Work-Based Learning or Community Service
  • Build a portfolio that shows your growth to teachers, employers, or colleges

Assignments are a chance to show your strengths and move closer to your goals.
