Finding Work-Based Learning Opportunities

PortfoliOH helps you to identify and connect your skills with real-world opportunities.

Inside the platform, on the Opportunities page, you’ll find collections of skills from employers—each linked to opportunities like pre-apprenticeships, internships, and even entry-level jobs.

When you see an Opportunity that interests you, click the Opportunity to view its details.

Here you’ll find a description of the Opportunity, all of the related skills that employers value most for this opportunity, and how to further explore or apply to this opportunity by pasting the provided links into a new browser tab.

Check your progress to see how many of the associated skills you’ve already earned or would like to work towards achieving next, as your skills progress shows how closely your current skills match the needs of employers.

Some employers provide links to learn more information about the company and upcoming opportunities, while other employers provide links that send you to applications to apply directly.
