External Evaluators
Sometimes, students demonstrate important skills outside of school or a structured activity. PortfoliOH allows students to document evidence at any time and freely choose who is the best fit to be an external evaluator of their work.
External evaluators must be approved by the student’s school Administrator before any work will be accessible to them.
After an external evaluator has been approved, they will receive an email invitation to evaluate student work on PortfoliOH each time students request their feedback. The instructions below detail how to accept this invitation, evaluate student work, and finish setting up your account for future evaluations.
Invitations to Evaluate Evidence
- Find your invitation email from support@probada.com with subject line “Please evaluate the work of…” and click the Evaluate Evidence button.
- PortfoliOH will open in a new tab or window. Click Start Evaluation.
- Use the evaluation form to review and evaluate the evidence.
(The left side shows the student’s submission; the right side is where you enter your evaluation details, including time spent, skill progress, and any applicable work-based learning or community service credit. Learn more about Evaluations.) - After you finish your evaluation, click Submit Evaluation.
- Then click Finish Setting Up Your Account and follow the steps to setup your account for future evaluations.
Setting up your Account
The setup account wizard is available to external evaluators after they have evaluated their first piece of evidence.
- Click Let’s Start.
- Your name and email will be pre-filled for you.
(If you’d like to make changes to your name, do so here.) - Enter and confirm a password you will use to log in to PortfoliOH in the future.
- Click Register.
- Click Start Exploring. You can now log into PortfoliOH at any time in the future using your email and the password created in step 2.
Reset Password
If you need to reset your account’s password, follow these steps:
- On the PortfoliOH login page, click Forgot Password.
- Enter the email you registered with or the email associated with your PortfoliOH account.
- Click the Recover Password button.
- A link to reset your password will be emailed to you.
- Log in using your new password.
Note: Before resetting your password, make sure you are logged out of your PortfoliOH account on all open browsers on your device. If your browser automatically logs you in to your account while trying to reset your password, try a different browser or clear the cache and try again.
