Creating & Managing WBL Opportunities

61. Click on the Creating Activity button

 

62. This display shows you all the activities you can create. Click your cursor on the one you want to build

 

63. Click on the title field and enter the name of the opportunity.

 

64. Select the Career Cluster from the drop-down menu.

 

65. Click on the Activity Duration and enter the time allotted for this activity.

 

66. Use the up and down arrows to enter the hours and minutes for the activity.

 

67. Once you have adjusted it to the correct amount, click “Set.”

 

68. Next, select the start date for this activity by indicating on the calendar the date of initiation.

 

69.  Click on End Date to select the date the activity ends.

 

70. Provide an overview of the activity in the Overview box.

 

71. Indicate if the activity will earn the student Community Service by clicking the box in the lower right corner.

 

72. Select the appropriate age range for this activity using the sliding scale on the lower left side.

74. Click on the G in the upper left corner to search Google images.

 

75. Select the one you want by clicking on it and then the upload arrow in the upper left corner.

 

76. Click Next when you are done.

 

Creating Tasks

77. Select a way to track and review this activity. It can be a Custom Task that you create, or you can ask students to engage in periodic reflection

 

78. If you select Custom Task, click Next.

 

79. Enter a title for your custom task.

 

80. Select the length of time for this task.

 

81. Use the up and down arrows to indicate the hours and minutes for this task

 

82. When you are finished indicating the time, click Set

 

  1. Click on the Instructions box and describe the activity for students to do

 

84. Click on the Skills box and select the skills this task demonstrates from the dropdown menu

 

85. Next, indicate the type of evidence you want the student to present

 

86. Click Save when you have selected the type of evidence

 

 

Review Tasks and Skills

87. Click on Details to review the task and the skills. Click the back button to revise.

 

88. Click Next if you are finished with your review

 

  1. Select the age range for the task and click Submit
